Frequently Asked Questions

What is sterling silver?

Sterling silver is composed of 92.5 percent pure silver and 7.5 percent other metals. The 7.5 percent is usually copper, however, different metals can be used in the alloy to improve various properties and create silver that will be perfect for specific projects. Sterling silver is almost always used because pure silver is too soft to make large, functional objects. By alloying silver with copper or another metal, silver becomes strong and durable.

Is my pendant waterproof?

Yes.  Our Nano Crystal laser etched artwork is completely waterproof and the image is archival quality. It will remain intact for generations (actually for hundreds of years).  For the artwork to be clearly visible, the pendant must be thoroughly dry.

Will my pendant tarnish?

No.  We electroplate every sterling silver piece with Rhodium to be maintenance and tarnish free.  To clean, use warm water mixed with some liquid detergent. Rinse and shake off excess water and gently dry with a soft cotton cloth.  To better maintain your sterling silver Jewelry, we recommend taking it off when you swim or take a shower.
